Comfort Music

I was hired by Cozy Music, a newly formed independent all-digital music label, to develop its identity & was given free reign over the design. I was inspired by the label's heavy influence in eastern music as well as the space-like quality of the initial artists on the label.

Due to the success of the logo design, the label asked me to design a website to promote their roster of artists. After exploring similar sites, I recognized a consistent issue: overly complicated navigation for such a simple collection of information. I decided that an extremely simple navigation focusing on the artist was the best solution. Within the site's layout, I used a basic building block of a 1:1 square, echoing the ratio of an album cover. The result was a simple, musically inspired home page & a set of templates for artists & albums.
